Hi Everyone! I will be participating in the Jimmy Fund Walk again this year!
As many of you know our team was formed in 1994 in memory of my brother, Jason Leader. Jason lost his battle with Neuroblastoma in 1994 at the age of 12.
Our team was formed in memory of Jason, but today we walk not only in his memory but in honor of those who are fighting the battle and in memory of those who have lost their battle. We walk with the hope of finding a cure to prevent other families from suffering the loss of a loved one. We walk not only to keep Jason's memory alive, but so that others do not have to experience the pain of losing a loved one to cancer.
This year funds are needed more than ever, as COVID-19 has made it more costly to treat patients safely, but yet the virus has made events for fundraising more difficult. Even though a cure for cancer has not been found, we will continue in that fight to find one; because along the way to find a cure, they have discovered many treatments that have allowed people to live longer and have a better quality of life.
Thank you to those who have supported me in the past. I appreciate your kindness and generosity
