Help support continued strides for Dana-Farber's IBC team!

For the 6th time, I will be walking a half-marathon in the 2021 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk: Your Way presented by Hyundai.

I am so glad to raise funds that go directly to Dana Farber's Inflammatory Breast Cancer team, who celebrated 10 years of incredible strides in the diagnosis and treatment of this rare and aggressive disease this spring.  Every year I am more grateful to be here 8 years since my IBC diagnosis and treatment.  As in past years, I have been able to share in the joy of another family celebration, this time my son's wedding, and learning our daughter and son in law are expecting their third boy!

But this August, I experienced a different type of gratitude.  My husband had open-heart surgery at Brigham and Women's Hospital right next door, so once again I was a regular visitor to the neighborhood.  Everything went very well, and we had a great view of the Dana Farber Yawkey Building from his room.  It occurred to me that if not for my treatment there, I would not be here now, to help my husband with this flip of the script.

When you make a gift to my walk, you’re directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and compassionate patient care. Untold numbers of patients and their families have benefited from this special place.

Thank you for supporting my Jimmy Fund Walk fundraising efforts. Together, we can conquer cancer!
