3 years ago I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma a rare form of blood, cancer that is very treatable but yet has no cure, but a cure is not far off, the incredible progress that has been made in just the last 2 years at Dana Farber has been Incredible! March 1, 2016, I was in partial renal failure and very sick, if not for the great medical care of doctors and nurses and support staff, I might not have made it? I’m am now in total remission after multiple rounds of chemo and a one month stay at Brighams and Women’s Hospital for a Stem Cell Transplant in November 2016, It has been a long road, but the doctors say I’m very stable! The incredible work that is being done at The Jimmy Fund and Dana Farber Cancer Center is nothing short of amazing! Cancer has no remorse it attacks the young the old and people in their prime, being a cancer survivor myself, I witnessed the the courage and optimism of my fellow cancer patients, like a young 10 boy named Jake, waiting to both have our blood drawn, Jake who is a Huge Patriots said that he could name every qb the patriots had since 1960, dumbfounded I listened to him rattle off them all, I most say I did not them all but he did, Jake Had a rare form of brain tumor, he’s attitude and outlook on life put things in perspective for me,no how bad you think things are, they can always be worse!
Thank you so much for your support!
