I am participating in the 2020 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk: Your Way presented by Hyundai because, like many of you, my family has lost many loves one to cancer -- my mother, three of my grandparents, and multiple aunts, uncles and cousins.
I'm a cancer survivor myself (as is my sister) and owe a lot to my Dana Farber oncologist Dr. Judy Garber and the rest of the outstanding team at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
We call our team BRCA1 Strong because so many members of our family have the BRCA1 gene, passed down through generations, and some of my own generation have passed it on to our own children. These include my late daughter Sarah, who had her breast cancer diagnosed at the Dana at the age of 33.
That's why raising funds for the Dana Farber is so important to us, especially in this Covid-19 time when donations to support doctors, patients, and researchers there are so important.
Your support goes directly to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and highly compassionate care. Funds raised through the Jimmy Fund Walk enable Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
Please consider making a donation to support my walk and an end to cancer today.
Together, we can conquer cancer!
