For the 27th year, I am participating in the Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk, taking steps toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer! When I started walking in 1996 to honor my daughter, Elizabeth, who was diagnosed with leukemia two years earlier, I never dreamed I would be walking 27 years later! I can't imagine not walking - it really is my favorite day of the year!
I'll start in Hopkinton at 6am, as I'm walking I'll catch the sun rise, exchange stories with other walkers and arrive in Copley Square around 3pm, tired, but overjoyed that I've been able to give back to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute for the care provided to all patients and families.
When you make a gift to my Walk, you’re directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge research and compassionate patient care. Your support allows Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
Thank you for supporting my Jimmy Fund Walk fundraising efforts.
Together, we can defy cancer!
