My little brother Nick loved building things and working with his hands. He loved Jeeps; he rebuilt the engine in his old Wrangler. He loved The Office. He loved to laugh and mess with people.
Nick passed away in 2016, about 6 months after the above picture was taken.
Nick was treated at the Jimmy Fund in Boston and I spent many hours there with him at appointments and during his treatments.
Nick wanted to make sure that all the kids there were taken care so in his honor and so that one day no child will have to have cancer, I walk.
I will be walking a 5k on Oct 4 at a local park.
Times are tough now for everyone, but i cannot imagine going through cancer treatment or having a family member go through it right now.
If you can please give, if not thank you just for taking the time to read this.
When you make a gift to my walk, you’re directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and highly compassionate cancer care. Your support allows Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
Thank you for supporting my participation in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Together, we can conquer cancer!
