2020 has been a crazy year and it's been even tougher on cancer patients and their families. My mother was diagnosed with metastatic colon cancer in August of 2010 and spent the last few months of her life traveling to see her family. I cannot imagine what it would have been like if this had happened this year. My heart goes out to all the patients and families suffering through treatments and loss in the midst of a pandemic.
My husband and I started fundraising with the Jimmy Fund Walk back in 2006 with our friend who was recovering from breast cancer. Fourteen years later she is still cancer-free thanks to the outstanding care she received at the Dana-Farber! When you make a gift to my walk, you’re directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and highly compassionate cancer care. Your support allows Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
Thank you for supporting my participation in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Together, we can conquer cancer!
