On October 1st I am participating in the 2023 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk, taking steps toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer.
My daughter Lisa was diagnosed with a brain tumor on April 25, 2012. Lisa was willing to do whatever it took to keep going. Over the years she endured three brain surgeries and countless forms of treatment including clinical trials, chemotherapy and radiation. In 2017 after the third surgery, the brain tumor had progressed to Glioblastoma Multiforme. Thanks to the extraordinary work of Dr David Reardon and the team at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Lisa was with us much longer than ever expected. Sadly on July 11, 2023 an inoperable tumor was found in Lisa's abdomen and just ten days later we lost her due to further complications.
Please join me to show your support for Dana Farber's cutting-edge critical research so we will not continue to lose those we love.
Your donation allows Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families. Help us to make a difference and put an end to this disease that continues to touch so many.
Thank you for supporting Team Hero Pup/Jimmy Fund Walk fundraising efforts as we walk this year in memory of Lisa.
With my heartfelt gratitude
