I am participating on Team Terri with my dear friend Ann Pratt in memory of her niece. Like my nephew Reid Sacco, Terri was taken way too young and lost her battle with Young Adult Cancer at the age of 20. I usually only donate my full energy and funds to Reids Ride, AYA Clinics, however Dana Farber gave my mom Anna DeMatteo, who was treated with breast cancer at age 42, time to live 20 years, see her children marry and meet her grandchildren before losing her battle at age 62.
I am proud to participate in this years Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai is taking steps toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer!
When you make a gift to my walk, you’re directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and highly compassionate cancer care. Your support allows Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
Thank you for supporting my participation in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Together, we can conquer cancer!
