2020 has been different, that's for sure.
Covid-19 has practically stopped the world in its tracks and it has even stopped the traditional way that the Jimmy Fund walk has been organized for over 30 years.
This year, instead of gathering with thousands of other participants and walking along the route of the Boston Marathon, each participant and team will walk their own way, within their own communities because we're not able gather together right now.
Participation for the walk this year is very low compared to other years. In 2019, over 8,000 walkers registered, and this year, as of mid-September, a little over 900 people have signed up.
But cancer doesn't take a break, and neither will we!
Maureen's Warriors will still be participating, marking out 10th year walking as a team and also marking the upcoming 10th year anniversary of Maureen's passing in December. She is always in our hearts and we come together in her memory each year to help find a cure so that others will not have to suffer loss and heartache brought on by cancer.
We appreciate your encouragement, cheers and support!
