Once again, I am walking with Team Bridget's Buddies in honor of Bridget, whom we lost to a medulloblastoma at the age of 11. I am also walking in memory of all those who I've lost to this disease and in honor of all those I know who are presently in the fight of their life.
The theme of the JimmyFund Walk this year is Walk Your Way. We are planning to walk the miles at Horn Pond in Woburn. Bridget loved Horn Pond. Cheryl circled the shores hundreds of time with her and Kate in their double stroller. As she grew, she explored the back lagoon with her friend Brooke from preschool and raced around Lion's park on her Razor Scooter with her best friend Christine. Now,the Angel of Hope watches over her memory stone at Mother's Rest. The pond is a special place for her family and a great place to honor and celebrate her life.
Walk Day is October 4th and Cheryl has mapped out the route. No amount is too little. Please consider honoring those heroes in your own life who have been diagnosed with cancer. Research is the only way to make progress in the race for a cure.
