I am participating in the 2019 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai, taking steps toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer!
Our Cheyenne was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor at 19 months. An Optic Pathway Glioma which has made her legally blind however seeing her you’d never know. 2 days after her 2nd birthday she began a 13 month chemo protocol.
After chemo she began pre-school where she continues to receive OT, PT, VT, and OMT (orientation & mobility therapy).
She is now a vivacious 1st grader.
Cheyenne is a social, spunky, sassy, loving, compassionate little girl. She loves meeting people, singing, dancing, ice cream & GUM! Oh how she loves watermelon bubble gum!
She’s a hugger. She looks for a smile from everyone. She has an amazing spirit and is tenacious.
Unfortunately, on April 17th, Cheyenne once again began a chemo protocol for 56 weeks. New growth was found on an already existing tumor in her brain and there is also new brain tumor growth. Please join us in the fundraising efforts of finding a cure!
When you make a gift to my walk, you’re directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and highly compassionate cancer care. Your support allows Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
Thank you for supporting my participation in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Together, we can conquer cancer!
