On Sunday September 22nd, I will be walking with The “Rack Pack” in the 2019 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk for Cancer. Who is the Rack Pack may you ask? The Rack Pack is a unity of individuals honoring two special women in our lives who have gone through treatments and surgeries: Patty David (my mom) and Lindsey Renaud (my managers best friend). These two inspiring, brave, resilient and incredibly strong women have each battled Breast Cancer which will affect 1 in 8 people over the course of their lifetime and is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among American Women. With your help and donation of any amount, we can come one step closer to finding a cure for individuals battling Cancer by funding treatment advances, earlier detection through screening and increasing awareness. We can all make an impact as we celebrate survivorship, honor those who may be currently battling, and most importantly raise funds and awareness for the fight against this disease.
Your support goes directly to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and highly compassionate care. Funds raised through the Jimmy Fund Walk enable Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
