Friends, family: I'm hiking 70 miles between now and my 70th birthday in late October, in memory of four people close to me who struggled against cancer and have passed on: Connie, Ted, Delsie and Joan; and for my old friend John who now is facing into the cancer challenge. I've decided to tie into the Jimmy Fund because Dana Farber's where Ted received treatment, and their research and services for patients, and their enthusiastic crowd of volunteers, are extraordinary. Thanks for any support you can offer!
I'm hiking every day I can, usually with Lucy the Pup, often with Mary. On Oct. 3, I joined Cindy and Bob Eaton (above) for the official Jimmy Fund Walk day to hike along and around Rye Beach, NH. Cindy has her own fundraising page, so please check it out and help her reach her goal. As of 10/4, I've hit 60 miles, so that goal is in sight. I've reached two fundraising goals, but don't let that stop you! Thank you to ALL who have so generously contributed - DF
I am participating in the 2021 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk: Your Way presented by Hyundai, taking steps toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer!
When you make a gift to my walk, you’re directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and compassionate patient care. Your support allows Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
Thank you for supporting my Jimmy Fund Walk fundraising efforts. Together, we can conquer cancer!
