Team ED is back at it! This is my 7th year fundraising for the Jimmy Fund and 6th Jimmy Fund Walk, and I am so excited to be able to raise critical funds for an organization that has brought so much hope to me and my family.
Why I walk - I walk in support of my husband Ed, who was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2017 following an injury overseas that left him in excruciating pain, unable to walk, and in need of air ambulance transport back to the US. In the weeks and months that followed he underwent radiation, spine stabilization surgery, chemotherapy, physical therapy, and a stem cell transplant. Fast forward to today and he is doing well and that is in large part due to the care and support he received at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, as well as the treatment advances made possible by fundraisers such as this one. But there is no cure for multiple myeloma, so I will walk every year and continue to raise funds for the Jimmy Fund until there is a cure. Please help me achieve my goal.
