I decided to walk with my department to raise resources for cancer. In 2016, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and since then had gone through 2 surgeries and 1 radioactive iodine treatment. Today I'm cured from the disease but the process was an emotional journey. I got to feel what many of our patients and families feel when they walk in our doors. I began to realize the importance of the work we do here and our mission to cure this disease. So this year, I walk for myself and for the many patients and families that are battling cancer. I hope you can join me by supporting me.
When you make a gift to my walk, you’re directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and highly compassionate cancer care. Your support allows Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
Thank you for supporting my participation in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Together, we can conquer cancer!
