I am participating in the 2021 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk: Your Way presented by Hyundai, taking steps toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer.
I participated in my first Dana Farber Jimmy Fund Walk last year and am excited to do it again! Years ago, when our friend and neighbor Doug Woodruff was diagnosed with colon cancer at the young age of 39, it was devastating. Last year, Pat Beauregard, another friend lost his brave battle with colon cancer at age 32 and the trend is continuing. Research has found an increase in early onset of colorectal cancer in young men.
My walk last year with Gretchen, Bridget, Ben and Meaghan was heartfelt, inspiring and very rewarding. Gretchen was able to get the funds we raised directly allocated to research in the early onset of colorectal cancer in young men. Please help support me in our walk on Sunday October 3rd with my team of Woodyswalkers. . If you make a gift to my walk, you’re directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and compassionate patient care. Your support allows Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
Thank you for supporting my Jimmy Fund Walk fundraising efforts. Together, we can conquer cancer!
