I am participating in the 2024 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai, taking steps toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer.
Sadly, someone dear to me was just diagnosed with cancer yesterday and will be starting treatment at Dana-Farber in May. I will be with them every step of the way; we know we are in the best possible hands.
In the last two years, I have had the honor of meeting with many cancer patients, their caregivers, and their care providers. Their love, support, and hope inspire me. I walk to ensure that clinicians such as Dr. Ruiz, Dr. Schmults, Dr. Waldman, Dr. Schoenfeld, and Dr. Silk can continue to have funding to do meaningful research and patient care work that they do today. I walk so that Dana Farber Cancer Institute can continue leading in important clinical trials and bringing cancer-fighting drugs to market. I walk so that all patients and their caregivers have the best treatment possible.
