I am participating in the 2020 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk: Your Way presented by Hyundai, taking steps toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer!
In April of 2019 I was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer (IBC), a rare and aggressive form of breast cancer. Since diagnosis, I have undergone 18 rounds of chemotherapy, major surgery, and 30 days of radiation and will be receiving targeted therapy infusions through October. My entire medical team has provided amazing, compassionate care.
When you make a gift to my walk, you’re directly supporting the IBC program at Dana Farber Cancer Institute, the only IBC research center in New England and one of the few in the country. Some of the treatments I have received didn't exist ten years ago, five years ago, and in some cases, even two years ago. These treatments were discovered thanks to research conducted at places like Dana Farber.
Please consider making a donation to my walk to help my medical team continue conducting important research and providing incredible care for me and the next patient who walks through the doors of Dana Farber.
Thank you for supporting my participation in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Together, we can conquer cancer!
