Either you already know how much hope the Jimmy Fund Clinic and Dana-Farber give to pediatric and adult cancer patients and their families around the globe, or you know someone who does.
While I wish I could copy a page out of Wikipedia's advertising strategy and say that, if all of you donate the equivalent of a cup of coffee, then the advertisements will stop and success will be achieved, the unfortunate reality is the finish line is incredibly more ambitious.
But that isn't to say that the task of finding a cure is insurmountable. Day by day, month by month, and year by year, millions of dollars and countless hours are being poured into cancer research and we inch ever so closer to being able to treat cancer like we do a cold.
However, these things take time, which is why I've participated in the Jimmy Fund Walk for the last 20 years. Every year, I wonder if it will be my last. But the truth is, we can never slow down until we've actually crossed the finish line.
While it's true that there is a link at the bottom of this page asking for donors, I'm not suggesting that you use your hard-earned coffee money as a donation. But, if, and only if, you have a few dollars you'd be willing to donate to an incredible charity or if, and only if, you are interesting in learning more, check out this page.
