The mother of one of my best friends, Julia Adam, was diagnosed with plasma cell leukemia (aggressive and rare form of multiple myeloma) at the beginning of May. She then subsequently became paralyzed from the hip down. While she is hospitalized in Hungary, Dr. Richardson from Dana-Farber has been instrumental in her battle. His guidance to the Hungarian doctors has been critical in her fight.
On September 22, I will walk along the world-famous Boston Marathon course in the 2019 Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk with Julia. I have pledged to raise funds that will be designated to support Dr. Richardson's Myeloma Research Fund at Dana-Farber.
