Hello friends and thanks for visiting my Jimmy Fund page! I am participating in the 2019 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk in memory of loved ones I have lost to cancer, and also because I have benefited personally from cancer research that was ground-breaking decades ago.
I am walking with a team of employees and friends from Schneider Electric. Last year we raised $30,000. This year, we have enlisted all four of the New England Schneider campuses and our goal is $100,000.
You may not know that the Jimmy Fund started in 1948 when the Variety Children's Charity of New England and the Boston Braves baseball team joined forces to help a 12-year-old cancer patient dubbed "Jimmy." Today, less than 5% of cancer research funds go toward pediatric cancer research. So this year, all of the money Team Schneider raises will go toward pediatric cancer research and treatment...and every dollar that is donated by Schneider employees can be matched by Schneider Electric.
Thank you for supporting my participation in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk!
