Walking with my family team! BRCA1 STRONG

Aleta and I are walking this year for everyone fighting cancer and their families. For those who need financial help, for cancer research and for resources for patients and their families to provide education and advocacy.

Many of us in our family have the BRCA1 gene mutation which makes breast cancer a serious risk for us. That is why in 2018, I made the decision to get a prophylactic mastectomy. And that decision was just the first on a very long road to many, many more decisions that were challenging. Getting answers and feeling like I had all the information I needed to make informed decisions was a lot.

I hope that the money we raise will help other woman and men to not only fight cancer, but feel supported in the decisions they make along their journey.

Let's kick cancer to the curb!
