At the age of two Trevor was diagnosed with an inoperable intramedullary low grade glioma (tumor inside the spinal cord). Outwardly you would never know he was going through anything! He is a smart, kind hearted fun boy that loves to make others laugh.
The primary side effects are neurological and he is being treated for scoliosis that is cause from the tumor’s location. At the age of four he had growing rods placed in his back to straighten the curve of his spine.
He has maintenance surgeries every six months on the bars to stretch them as he grows. He rarely complains, never uses his condition as a crutch and lives life to the fullest. He loves to play flag football and soccer. Trevor is our super hero and as his titans we are compelled to join this walk for him. By participating in the 2020 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk, our team is making every step count toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer!
Your support goes directly to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and highly compassionate care. Funds raised through the Jimmy Fund Walk enable Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
Thank you for supporting our team and Trevor in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Together, we can conquer cancer!
