Maikki was a good friend of mine through my high school years and lost her battle with a very rare form of bile duct cancer this past year. Maikki was always one of the brightest lights in any room and was so strong, positive and caring.
I also lost my mother ten years ago after her 7 year battle of multiple cancers. My mom and Maikki both had similar attitudes with their battles...I’m here today so let’s live today and make the best of it.
I’m walking for Maikki, my Mom, myself, my family and friends and for all those awaiting a cure or may need one on the future.
Please join me, or if you can, make a donation towards my goal. Any amount is appreciated and no amount is too small!
When you make a gift to my walk, you’re directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and highly compassionate cancer care. Your support allows Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
Thank you for supporting my participation in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Together, we can conquer cancer!
