For two years at my college I had the opportunity to participate in Dance Marathon, a 13-hour dance marathon (I know, shocking) to benefit the Children's Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina. It was absolutely one of the best events I've ever been a part of, and I'm excited to bring the same grit to the Jimmy Fund Walk.
I'm walking to support not only a great cause for cancer research, but to support the incredible researchers that continue going into work everyday despite a global pandemic. These people are the true angels of our society. Their disease is getting no attention right now, yet they're still out there developing life-saving treatments, and caring for the people who need them.
My goal: $1000. Pretty sure I can top it, but let's start small. To set a challenge for anyone who donates to me, if I can get 5x that goal -- that's $5000 in donations -- I'll RUN the full marathon. Quarantine is giving me plenty of time to train so I can definitely do it. Challenge issued y'all.
