Here is a little about me. On April 1, 2020 I was diagnosed with Stage 3 HER2+ Breast Cancer. My life changed forever in that moment. This was right at the start of the Pandemic so even the world was crazy. Within a month, I started Chemo. It took a lot to mentally prepare myself for the fight literally of my life. Honestly, is anyone every really ready for Cancer? I didn't have time for Cancer. I looked at my child and said "Ok, I am going to fight this with all that I have. Losing is NOT an option and I plan to beat this. Side effects of Cancer treatment are brutal but necessary to ensure that it kills all of the cancer. I had chemo treatments for a year. Four months into my chemo, I had my first surgery. A few months after that I started radiation at the same time that I was still having chemo. Because of all of the restrictions, I had to go to all of my appointments alone.
I am blessed for my amazing Village that helped me get thru this. My final surgery as in September of 2021. I am proud to say that I am in full remission and Happy and Blessed to move on with the next stage of my life. I am blessed to be able to see my son grow up.
Dana Farber and all of their doctors and nurses were and ARE amazing. They genuinely care about their patients. Early Detection is KEY!!! Pay attention to your body. Thank you so much for donating, it means a lot to me to reach my goal. I am honored to be your HERO.
*Much Love- Tita
