I am participating in the 2020 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk: Your Way taking steps toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer!
This is a cause that is near and dear to my heart. As many of you know, I lost my father to a rare form of cancer at the age of 19. My Dad was only 48 years old. He lived 6 months past his diagnoses. He fought incredibly hard for an incredibly short period of time, and that fight would not have been possible without Dana-Farber. They sat down and provided him treatment options even with a fatal diagnoses. They fought to give him more time, they fought to give him hope, they fought to give him life.
I want to live in a world where there is no cancer. Where people's lives are not turned upside down. This horrible disease has impacted not just me but SO many people that I know. Some who have survived, some who have not, ALL who have felt a last impacting they will never forget. Join me in this fight to end cancer and support one of the most remarkable Cancer Insititutes that my family and I were able to experience first hand. They care, and they fight.
When you make a gift to my walk, you’re directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and highly compassionate cancer care. Your support allows Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
Thank you for supporting my participation in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Together, we can conquer cancer!
