I am participating in the 2020 Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk, taking steps toward a world without cancer. When I was a freshman in college, the first friend I made was a special person named Roger Dawley. I’ve only grown to love him more through our years of friendship, and seeing him organize this team has really shown his caring soul and wide influence. Roger is walking this year in honor of Emma Hoffman, who lost her battle with Brain Cancer when Roger was a sophomore in college. I walk with Emma’s Angels to extend the reach of our fundraiser, and make sure the influence that Emma’s loving heart had on Roger extends as wide as we can reach.
When you make a gift to my walk, you’re directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and highly compassionate cancer care. Your support allows Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
