I am participating in the 2021 Jimmy Fund Walk in support of Team IBC. 100% of the funds raised will support Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC) research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. IBC is a rare form of breast cancer, comprising of about 1-5% of breast cancers. IBC is considered an aggressive cancer because it grows quickly, is more likely to have spread at the time it’s found, and is more likely to come back after treatment compared to other types of breast cancer. I am the nurse practitioner for Dana-Farber’s IBC Program. My job reminds me every day how important it is to be grateful for the little things, like long walks with Bailey and Alex, swim and gymnastics class with V, and spending time with my family and friends.
When you make a gift to my walk, you’re directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and compassionate patient care. Your support allows Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
Thank you for supporting my Jimmy Fund Walk fundraising efforts. Together, we can conquer cancer!
