I am a first time participant in the Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk.
My wife, Lori, is currently a patient at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, as she was diagnosed with leukemia. In March Lori received extensive chemotherapy treatments at Brigham and Women's Hospital, after which, we received the good news that her cancer was put in remission. On June 14th Lori received a bone marrow transplant, and within 2 weeks, she was engrafted. Although my Lori continues to have weekly blood tests at Dana-Farber, we are both grateful for the new life she has been given.
