I am participating in the 2023 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai, taking steps toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer.
In June 2021 my world came to a screeching halt. I was diagnosed with Stage 1 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. I couldn't believe it. I was treated at Dana Farber in Weymouth. I went through 6 months of Chemo, lost all my hair and looked like an alien. I literally lost my hair, eye brows and eye lashes! The Doctors at Dana Farber reassured me every visit I would be cured of this awful disease! In November of 2021 I heard those 3 beautiful words YOU'RE IN REMISSION! My family, Friends and worlds best Co-Workers were the best cheerleaders I could ask for and keep me going for those 6 months! My husband was by my side every step of the way! Along with being the best husband he was also playing roll of Dad and Mom to our Twin Daughters. He didn't miss a soccer,softball or basketball game and never missed an appointment with me.
