I am participating in the 2022 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai, taking steps toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer - and in honor of my mother Susan Shaw who just lost her life after battling a rare form of brain cancer: CNS Lymphoma for the past 9 months. Mom was enrolled in a CAR-T cell treatment trial, but unable to participate after catching COVID. In an immunocompromised state COVID wrecked her body and her heath deteriorated fast.
Mom was a fighter and hoped to help research treatment for CNS with her trial and potentially extend her life, but was too weak.
I’m devoted to raising money to help further research in her name, specifically team name “Sue’s Garden”.
