I am participating in the 2022 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk taking steps toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer. I walk in memory of my father, Tom Mellars who lost his battle to epidermoid lung cancer. More commonly known as; small lung cell cancer or squamous cell carcinoma (SCLC).
I also walk in memory of friends and family that lost long hard battles against various cancers such as; Glioblastoma, stomache cancer, esophagus, etc... With each step I take my heart beats for; My father Tom, Stepdad Bill, Uncle Roger, Uncle James, Jeff, Travis, Basil, Kenny, George G, George W, Betty, Aunt Jean and many others. I will WALK STRONG for those that can't and keep them close to my heart.
When you make a gift to my Walk, you’re directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge research and compassionate patient care. Your support allows Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
Thank you for supporting my Jimmy Fund Walk fundraising efforts. Together, we can defy cancer!
