18 years ago, in 2005, Elen and I ran our first 3K together - notice I chose to run in a polo shirt because I am a high performance athlete!
I am participating in the 2023 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk, taking steps toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer. I am walking in memory of my sweet friend, Elen Rogers.
Walking a marathon is a big commitment and has taken time and energy to get ready for. During the many hours I have spent walking through our community this summer, I have had a lot of time to think about Elen. I would have done anything for her and I am proud to be a member of Team Elen to help other brave families fighting cancer.
