I am participating in the 2024 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai, taking steps toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer.
We are walking for Carter. In October 2022 our lives were turned upside down when we learned of Carters diagnoses. To say it was a complete shock to us is an understatement. Throughout his year of treatment he would undergo three major back surgeries, three different radiation rounds, and several different chemotherapy treatments.
The care he received from the staff at Boston's Childrens Hospital and the Jimmy Fund Clinic at Dana Farber was amazing. They gave us support when needed, provided the best possible services available, and took the time to comfort us through tragedy.
Our family will walk in honor of Carter and his energetic personality, quick wit, fun sense of humor, and his kind heart.
