WHY WE'RE FUNDRAISING WITH THE JIMMY FUND WALK TO FIGHT CANCER

In January of 2019, my daughter Abigail, was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, bone cancer. For the next ten months the Jimmy Fund and Children's Hospital became our second home.  Abby underwent over ten different chemo treatments and several surgeries, including a partial leg amputation called a rotationplasty. Through it all she never complained, never lost her sense of humor and was always more concerned about everyone else, never wanting anyone to feel sorry for her!

Unfortunately, despite the efforts of her wonderful oncology team, Abby was unable to win her battle; passing away 10 months later when the Cancer spread to her lungs.

We have vowed to keep Abby's memory alive and, in the spirit of her kindest, attempt to do our part in raising awareness and funding for all the other families out there waging their own battles.

I'm asking for your help to make an impact and improve the lives of those dealing with this horrific disease.

Thank you! Every little bit helps!

Your support goes directly to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge research and compassionate patient care. Funds raised through the Jimmy Fund Walk enable Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
