WHY WE'RE FUNDRAISING WITH THE JIMMY FUND WALK TO FIGHT CANCER

Our sweet Celia was diagnosed at 3 years old with a High Risk form of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in the midst of the worldwide pandemic (October of 2020). She has battled her cancer for nearly 2 years now, with her treatment finish date slowly approaching in March of 2023. We have sat beside her while she has pushed through years of harsh chemotherapies, bone marrow biopsies, appointments, procedures, steroids, needles, blood transfusions, terrible tasting medications, dangerously low white blood cells, fevers, MRIs, X-rays, inpatient stays… The list goes on.

No one deserves this suffering, let alone a child. And that is why we choose to walk in the Jimmy Fund Walk. We walk to raise money that will continually fund cancer research, so that when the time comes that our loved ones are inevitably touched by cancer… We can breathe from the very beginning. No more holding our breaths, and desperately praying for a good prognosis. We want cures. We want consistency. We want the outcomes to be phenomenal across the board!

Celia is an incredible example of how strong each and every one of our children are, and she continues to amaze me day by day. She grows and explores the world around her in spite of the challenges she has faced. She smiles and laughs despite her daily responsibilities of treatment (and medications that make her feel less and less like herself) each day.

We are now embarking on our first ever fundraising mission to make a difference in cancer research so that everyone has the treatment options that Celia has been given. Please help us surpass our goal for fundraising, and help make a difference in the world of cancer research! Every donation makes a difference, big or small! So thank you immensely for giving patients like Celia a better future, and for supporting the advancing field of science/medicine!
