This will be our team’s 30th year walking. The team consist of friends and family with big hearts from small towns.
The team was formed in 1994 in memory of Jason Leader, and the team’s name was established in honor of the friendship shared by Jason and Red Sox first baseman Mo Vaughn.
The friendship and love Jason and Mo shared, lives on today within our team and within the Vaughn and Leader families. In Jason’s short 12 years of life, he taught us so much about love, strength, and courage.
Sadly, since 1994, we have walked in honor and in memory of so many other friends and family that have battled cancer. However, over the years we have walked, we have seen great improvements in the treatment of cancer and patient care. We know the money we have raised has helped with these improvements and is the reason why we continue with our fight. We will continue our fight until a cure is found.
Thank you for supporting our team in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Together, we can conquer cancer!
