We are walking for the amazing Bryce Linton! Bryce was born with an extremely rare immunodeficiency called X-linked Hyper IgM Syndrome. Essentially Bryce was born without an immune system that could fight off viruses and infections, the only long term cure would be a bone marrow transplant. After a few years of searching for the perfect match through “BeTheMatch” Bryce underwent the grueling bone marrow transplant process at Boston Children’s Hospital in 2022. Bryce fought through rounds of chemotherapy to prepare his body for the transplant, months in the hospital, setbacks, and eventually an additional bone morrow boost. Bryce continues with regular visits at the Jimmy Fund Clinic and is trending in a positive direction! After a great summer that brought Bryce to the San Diego Zoo for his Make-A-Wish he was able to fully return to school this fall! We are walking to give back to the amazing teams at The Jimmy Fund / Dana-Farber & Boston Children’s Hospital who have given so much to Bryce and his family!
