By participating in the 2023 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai, our team is making every step count toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer.
We are walking the 10K route in memory of our mother, sister, and aunt Maureen Gibbs. 10 years ago Maureen's sister Jeanne and some friends walked the whole marathon route in honor of Maureen as she battled ovarian cancer. This year we will walk in memory of Maureen. We all miss her terribly but know she is enjoying her signature Whiskey Sour. We are so thankful for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute for all the care it provided for Maureen and our entire family as we battled this disease.
Your support goes directly to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge research and compassionate patient care. Funds raised through the Jimmy Fund Walk enable Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
