WHY WE'RE FUNDRAISING WITH THE JIMMY FUND WALK TO FIGHT CANCER
We are participating in the 2023 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai, to help create a world without cancer.
Our daughter, Olivia, was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma (an aggressive form of brain cancer) at the age of 1 1/2. She underwent emergency brain surgery and then endured 7 1/2 months of chemotherapy treatments and stem cell transplant therapy. Throughout it all, Olivia's doctors, nurses, and support staff were with us all the way! The are truly angels on earth and we are forever grateful for all they do day in and day out!!
Today, Olivia is a happy, healthy, silly 8 1/2 year old. We are blessed everyday for Olivia and the amazing little girl she is!
Team Olivia Strong walks the 26.2 miles not only for Olivia but for the countless children and their families who, unfortunately, are going through this journey. It is the least we can do after all they have done for us and for our little girl!!
