WHY WE'RE FUNDRAISING WITH THE JIMMY FUND WALK TO FIGHT CANCER

A cancer diagnosis is life-altering for most people, but young adults with breast cancer often face other unique challenges including: 

• Dealing with concerns about future fertility
• Considering genetic risks in treatment and prevention decisions
• Parenting young children
• Finishing school
• Managing a career
• Building relationships


Young and Strong is the first and only program of its kind in the world. Our mission is to provide expert medical care as well as social, emotional, and educational support to facilitate optimal treatment, supportive care, and education focused on the unique issues facing young adults and their loved ones, throughout the cancer care trajectory. More than 7,800 young adults have been supported to date.


Your support goes directly to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s Young and Strong Program. Funds raised through Young and Strong's Jimmy Fund Walk Team enable us to enhance our program's offerings and initiatives that serve the young breast cancer community.
