Our team is at it again, walking along the Boston Marathon route or other paths to raise money for the Jimmy Fund. Dana-Farber Cancer Institute was founded in 1947 by Dr. Sydney Farber, and the Jimmy Fund first started raising money for Dana-Farber in 1948. Our team is based in the Palliative Care Department. While the Oncologists treat the cancers, we work with them, the patients and families, to treat symptoms that impact the patients' ability to live the lives they hope to. Whether they experience pain, nausea, anxiety, you name it, we try to soften the symptoms, help them cope, and support their families.
The people you support with your donations include researchers, clinicians, and patients. Cancer is indiscriminate in those it touches. We strive to provide treatments, comfort and hope.
Thank you to all who have supported our team and the Jimmy Fund over the years.
