WHY WE'RE FUNDRAISING WITH THE JIMMY FUND WALK TO FIGHT CANCER
Hi all -
This will be the first time walking for the Currier family, but likely not the last. In September 2022, our son, Ben, was diagnosed with Tcell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. It's been a whirlwind journey since then, and we still have over 15 months of treatment left. Last year in October, we were allowed to bring Ben out of the 6th floor oncology ward in Children's Hospital down to the sky bridge between the Dana Farber building and the Jimmy Fund clinic to watch the walkers being the 5k walk. This year it feels like a monumental step forward to be on the walking side, rather than on the sky bridge.
The Jimmy Fund and all the Dana Farber/Children's Hospital staff have taken such good care of Ben and our family. We are so grateful for the incredibly meaningful work they do each and every day.
