When we first heard about the Jimmy Fund Cancer marathon walk last summer we immediately thought of Jim's brother Rick who lost his battle with esophageal cancer on 11/11/21 and said we NEED to do this! However, knowing we couldn't train the "Paulin way" in just two months we decided we would put it on hold and research "the right way" to train. Throughout the year as we thought about doing this we kept adding people to our list who mean so much to us, those who have lost the battle, those who have fought the battle and won and others who are still fighting, we knew we wanted to do this for all of them! Our training began in May 2023 and some days have been more challenging than others.....endless searches for bathrooms, dodging black bears and of course constant complaining...."JUST GO I CAN'T KEEP UP WITH YOU"!!! We're sure you can guess who that is! Throughout our walks one thing is certain, we're doing this for those who are near and dear to us. YOUR FIGHT IS OUR FIGHT!!!!!! If you'd like and are able to contribute to Team Paulin we'd truly appreciate it. Your support in any form means the world to us and those we walk for. By participating in the 2023 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai, our team is making every step count toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer.
Your support goes directly to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge research and compassionate patient care. Funds raised through the Jimmy Fund Walk enable Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
Thank you for supporting our team in the Jimmy Fund Walk. Together, we can defy cancer! With love, Jim and Kathy (Team Paulin)
