Dana Farber's fantastic medical team is treating me for systemic mastocytosis and a rare form of leukemia. Thanks to ongoing research and a new trial drug I am in remission from the mastocytosis. The leukemia is an early stage but I, like hundreds of others begin treated at Dana Farber, will ultimately need a stem cell transplant. The tremendous advances being made in treating both mastocytosis and leukemia would not be possible without Dana Farber's commitment to research coupled with patient care. The money we are raising in our walk will go to support the Leukemia Research Fund.
Your support goes directly to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge research and compassionate patient care. Funds raised through the Jimmy Fund Walk enable Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
