WHY WE'RE FUNDRAISING WITH THE JIMMY FUND WALK TO FIGHT CANCER
I am participating in the 2024 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai, taking steps toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer.
25 years ago my father, Stephen 'Chad' Chadwick, lost his battle to cancer. To those who knew him, he was funny, optimistic, and deeply thoughtful. His love for connection and family left a big imprint on my little world. I was young, but it is through shared stories and the occasional sign that I feel a continued deep connection to him.
So, on this big anniversary, I am bringing back our team 'Walking for Chad' in Dana Farber's 2024 Jimmy Fund Walk. In the 13 years after his passing, my family participated in the walk and raised over $300,000 for the Cancer Institute in his honor. As a lady who loves to walk, I am going back to our roots and getting my steps in for cancer research - 26.2 miles worth this time!

Your support allows Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
