WHY WE'RE FUNDRAISING WITH THE JIMMY FUND WALK TO FIGHT CANCER
Our walk team, CASEY STREET GANG, will be participating in the 2024 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai.
This will be our 14th year walking toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer.
We started our team to support Suzie (Daughter, Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt, Friend & Teacher) during her courageous battle with Stage IV Lung Cancer. Throughout her illness, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute provided treatment expertise through cutting-edge research and clinical trials. We truly appreciate the compassionate care given to both patient and family by her medical staff during this difficult journey. In 2014, Suzie lost her battle with cancer at the age of 55. We pledged to continue to walk in her memory with the goal of a world without cancer.
In the past 13 years, Casey Street Gang has raised over $150,000 for Dana-Farber Institute. Our goal this year is to raise $15,000. These funds enable Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
