As most of you know, on 12/1/2020, my son Jacob had a seizure while at home with me. He was taken by ambulance to the hospital and was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor (Mesenchymal Chondrosarcoma) and on 12/4/20 had brain surgery to remove it. Jacob was given a reasonable prognosis. However, due to the aggressive nature of this type of cancer and concerns about it coming back, Jacob had 6 weeks of radiation and 42 weeks of Chemotherapy. As of Today, Jacob has no evidence of disease, looking good and feeling great. He is still getting scanned every 3 months to make the sure cancer is not coming back. Without Dana Farber and the doctors, this story may have been different. My wife Zoe and I have started the Mesenchymal Chondrosarcoma Research Fishman Family Sarcoma Research Fund to research this very rare cancer in hopes of one day finding a cure!
By participating in the 2024 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai, our team is making every step count toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer.
